I had to work all weekend, and it was probably one of the worst weekends of work I have ever had. I really don;t understand when people don’t know how to tip, or don’t tip at all. Do people really think that 2.13 an hour can pay my rent? No. And also, I realized that I’m terrified of the verbal tip. “Oh, Kelsey, you gave excellent service, I hope to see you again also.” Boom. Five dollars on a fifty dollar tab. I mean, come on, really? If I wanted to make five dollar tips, I’d work at a Mexican restaurant.
My roommates are awesome, I love how if we can’t find fun we make it. Travis has been DJing a lot lately, it’s kinda fun. He’s quickly building onto his equipment. We had a party on Friday and I kicked some kids out, it was the first time I flipped out on someone in a few years. I mean, if you’re going to disrespect me in my house, you can leave.
So, I honestly forgot that we were supposed to be blogging every day.
the weather has been BEAUTIFUL. it def calls for multiple bike rides and using out fire pit at night. Our friend Natalie is deathly sick and had to go back home for the rest of the week. Aparently her heart rate was at 160 when she was standing and 110 sitting. EEp. She had some virus and since she stays with us, we pretty much are doing a massive disinfecting/cleaning of our house. Today I slept in, since I don;t have class until 6pm. It was nice to wake up slowly and then bike to campus to have lunch. I think today’s the first time I’ve been able to just relax and enjoy being at home. I like it.
I slept in a bit today, it was nice to have the windows open and just be able to lay in bed. Afterwards, I rode my bike around and went to the thrift store. I realized that fantastic thrift was filled with really creepy people and really rude people. I always run into the strangest characters there. Kate got a good deal on a cute shirt and a red book bag. I was a little jealous.
Afterwards we went back to my house and hung out while I worked on drawing homework. I actually enjoy my professor, he’s real about things. He really understands that people aren’t perfect and art students definitely aren’t the most studious bunch of people.
